Prepared Speech #1

Speaker:

Chris Drumgoole

Evaluator:

Alex Kristic

Speech No. & Type:

4 – How to Say It

Speech Title:

Lombok: the Better Bali

Speech Evaluation:

-          Good introduction, made everyone fell like we were there!

-          You used very specific words, as required by the project.

-          Your introduction was short, but effective.  But, we missed the smell!

-          You gave 3 ways to refer to the beech – this was nice, but a bit confusing.

-          When you say something like “Forgotten Place”, use hand signals to show quotes.

-          You did use your notes a couple of times – you had a noticeable pause – it seemed like you were looking where you were.

Prepared Speech #2

Speaker:

Jeffery Liu

Evaluator:

Connie Gao

Speech No. & Type:

6 – Vocal Variety

Speech Title:

The Hare and The Tortoise

Speech Evaluation:

-          Very inspirational topic for all in daily life

-          You used your notes a couple of times – try not to use them in future speeches

-          Try to add questions to make your speech more memorable and draw the audience in
