What do you do?
- Burt – At the Shenzhen airport, you meet a pretty girl in the check in line. How do you convince her to come to Beijing with you?

- Yann – You’re stopped in the security check line because you had the following items: a frying pan, a hammer, and 8 nails. How do you explain these items?
- Ben – You flew from San Diego to San Francisco then to Beijing. When you arrived in Beijing, you noticed you only had one shoe! What do you do?
- Guest (Tiffany) – You notice a handsome guy in the check in line. Later in the business class lounge, you see the same guy. How do you approach this person?
- David – You’re seen walking in the airport holding Sunny’s hand tightly by Diana. She asks you what you’re doing…

You also had a clear description of what climbing is, a benefit of those who don’t know. - Your conclusion could be improved however. It seemed to end too quickly. Try developing the story a bit more, add more interesting facts - You had a bit too much descriptive content - Your voice was very strong – easy for everyone to understand - Your arm gestures were just right, not too much, not too little - You tend to look at the same person for a long time. Charles Cao will be the speaker of the night. We need about 10 evaluators to participate. The winner will go to the District challenge in April! Please email David Oliver if you’d like to participate or help out. - We’ll be holding a Speech Contest on Monday, March 31. Ines Brunn will chair the contest.
Note, this is a special date! Only speakers who have reached level 6 can be a speaker. Please email Ines Brunn if you’d like to participate or help out. - We’re tentatively going to have a Speechathon on Monday, March 24th. Please email Selina if you’d like to give a speech.
- Talk with Lily if you’d like to chair a special event in the next several months in order to give back to the club and to satisfy requirement 10 in the CL manual!
- We’ll be having an April Fool’s party on Saturday, March 29th. This is the renewal benefit dinner where members who renew by the 29th are able to join for free!
The venue will be the CCTV Tower Revolving Restaurant. More details to follow. |
