Calculation of Fees

Why Pay Membership Fees? - The membership fees for China Capital Toastmasters (CCTM) are simple once you understand how the calculations are made.  Please keep reading….

Around 50% of the fees CCTM collects are sent to Toastmasters International (hereinafter referred to as TI) so that we can use all the copyright training materials that TI provides.  The remainder of the fees goes towards hiring the training room at Zhao Long Hotel for our Thursday night meetings, purchasing new member kits as well as other materials for the development of the club members.

Fees Calculation – is as follows:

New Member Fee - RMB 250 - This is a one time fee, and covers the cost of your new member kit which will be mailed directly from TI to our club. (You can collect your new member kit at our weekly meetings when it arrives.) 

Membership Fee – Membership fees are collected bi-annually.  Breaking this down into monthly payments, it amounts to RMB 80 per month.

Renewal Periods – The two membership renewal periods are April 1 - September 30 and October 1- March 31.  Members pay a total sum of RMB 480 for every six months.  You must pay for six months at a time – as per TI policy.  Dues are non-refundable.

One time payment – Before you join CCTM, there is a grace period of 3 meetings for you to familiarize yourself with the club, and vice versa.  Following this grace period, you must pay until the next renewal period along with the one time New Member fee. 

Future Billing – Paying until the start of the next renewal period simplifies billing for members after they join – after the initial collection is made everyone is automatically put on the same billing cycle.
