Fellow CCTMC members,
I would like to say a few things about the contests in the past two weeks.
Number of contestants
A total of 15 members in CCTMC competed in the contests of different kinds:
Chinese humorous speech contest - 5 contestants
Evaluation contest - 9 contestants
English humorous speech contest - 8 contestants
This is just marvelous!

From my nearly five years experience in Toastmasters, I know that the more contestants a club has, the more dynamic and robust the club is.  From my understanding about other TM clubs in Beijing, I can make a safe bet that CCTMC has the largest number of contestants, especially in English humorous speech contest.
 
Therefore I can proudly say that CCTMC is one of the most dynamic and robust clubs in Beijing. To be less humble, we are just the most dynamic one.

I would like to say a big thank-you to our three contest chairs Cathy Chen, Cathy Li and Frieda Li.  They have put in a lot of time and effort in planning, organizing and promoting the contests and the results were just outstanding.  They deserve a big round of applause.
 
I would also like to thank Frieda for her re-cap emails about the results of each contest.  They are fun to read and very inspiring.

I want to thank you for signing up and competing in the contests. 
 
It takes courage rather than experience to compete, and I admire your courage.  Whether you won a place in the contests or not, you have left a wonderful impression on the audience and they will remember you for the years to come.
 
There will be contests again in CCTMC in next March.  If you are keen to win, learn from your experience in these contests.  Such experience will prepare you for future success.
